The trolley punch collection
"Harken back to the traditional days of our Nations pastime, hearing the 'ding-ding' of the trolley bell and the joy of this child during baseball's great era... and consider this piece of history for part of your collection."
These cards are numbered members of the TROLLEY PUNCH Collection, and frames have been specifically designed to display these cards.
The story of The Trolley Punch Collection starts in the first decade of the 1900's, with the tale of a kind-hearted Trolley Conductor who invited kids to 'pay their fare' with the punch of a baseball card... leaving the elongated half-moon shaped punch notable on each member of the set.
One of the kids who rode the trolley collected his punched cards, and a set of 70 cards (8@T205, 56@T206, 6@T210) was passed down through two generations of his family to his grandson.
The set was acquired from the grandson by Martimar-Cards in October of 2022 and select members of the collection are now available for purchase as a unique addition to individual collections.
If unpunched, many of the cards in the collection might have graded into the Fair/Good/Good+ ranges, as many have great eye appeal, centering, edges and corners. See scans for actual specific card condition, or visit Ebay and search ‘TROLLEY PUNCH’ for any currently available cards.
All item listings will include 'The TROLLEY PUNCH Collection' notation (for easy identification and searching for availability), as well as the player name, back type and factory number.
Each comes with an embossed authentication card, marking it as a unique member of the set, with the card number in the series subset to verify its belonging to the collection.
"Harken back to the traditional days of our Nations pastime, hearing the 'ding-ding' of the trolley bell and the joy of this child during baseball's great era... and consider this piece of history for part of your collection."
